ancestry of the Cheeramvelil family can be traced back
by a few centuries. Pakalomattom, a Brahmin family of
Kodungalloor was converted to Christianity by the
Apostle Saint Thomas in the first century A.D. They fled

The next
family meet of Cheeramvelil Kudumbayogam will be held on
26 December 2007 at 9:30 AM in St. George's Church,
Muttar. The sacerdotal Golden Jubilee of Msgr. Francis
Arupara will also be celebrated on that occasion. the
function will commence with a Holy Mass by our beloved
Aruparayachan. read

Shri P. J. Thommey (our beloved Thommychayan), the Cheeramvelil Kudumbayogam President passed away on 7 March 2012. The funeral took place on 9 march 2012 in the family vault of St. George Church, Muttar. Msgr. Thomas Nagaparambil, the Vicar General of Thamarassery Diocese and V. Rev. Fr. Joseph Naduvilezham, Vicar General of Changanacherry Archdiocese officiated the funeral ceremony. Thommychayan served as the President of Muttar Panchayat for a very long spell of 16 years.
